Haatoa has been a part of Tina's Ports of Paradise Polynesian Dance Group and overall entertainment business since the age of 5. Haatoa currently teaches our Group Competition Class, and overlooks the choreography for all classes. He has won awards for his skills in Tahitian and Cook Island style of drumming and choreography. Haatoa loves to see others who are not of Polynesian ancestry come and enjoy learning his culture. Haatoa has traveled with Tina's Ports of Paradise to various states and has performed for many Dignitaries and Hollywood celebrities. However; Polynesian music and dance isn't Haatoa's only interest, he in the past was a the lead vocalist of the Ventura College Jazz Band directed by Musician, Composer and one of Earth, Wind, and Fire's founding members Mr. Leslie Drayton. Haatoa enjoys playing and singing in styles of Jazz, R&B, Soul, Country and Latin Music as well as his cultural Polynesian Music. Haatoa has definitely followed the same footsteps as many of his family members who have fame in Europe, Polynesia and throughout the U.S.A.
Kilisitina Salotetupou Laeanela Moe Tuitama Vainuku
Kilisitina, (named after the founder of TPOP) is commonly referred to as "Little Tina". Tina enjoys her time as a Polynesian Dancer, and instructor. Tina, being well diverse, sings in French, Portuguese, and Dutch. Tina has won many awards for her outstanding skills in Tahitian, and Cook Island Dancing. Tina enjoys singing in styles of Broadway, Bossa Nova, Jazz, and European Music. Tina comes from a family of musical, and artistic talent. In her family,there is one of the best steel guitar players in the world Tau Moe, as well as many other family members famous in Europe, Polynesia, and throughout the U.S.A. Tina instructs our Advance/Performance Class. Tina has traveled through the South Pacific as well as the North American Continent. Tina danced as a member of the promotional dance crew for Disney's "Moana" the Polynesian Princess performing with many talented and famous individuals in the Polynesian community such as Tiana Liufau of Nonosina, Rika Purotu owner of Island Mana Designs and Consultant to Disney, as well as the musical group Te Vaka.
Toni Matai Semisi Moe Tuitama Vainuku
Toni began his dancing career at the age of Thirteen with Tina's Ports of Paradise, along with his sisters: Salamasina, Tumusa, Seiaemana, and brother Saipale. Toni, being very diverse, speaks Samoan, Tongan, and Spanish. Toni has won many awards for Tahitian dance in Salt Lake City, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada and throughout California while representing Tina's Ports of Paradise. Toni has traveled and toured with Tina's Ports of Paradise since his start . He enjoys teaching, and entertaining the audiences he performs for. Tony currently teaches the youth beginners and intermediate classes for TPOP and trains our youth for competitions. Polynesian dance, without a doubt, is Toni's passion. Toni also currently teaches fitness classes, and appears in many Polynesian events.
Salamasina Vae'laveamata Salcido Fesagaiga Moe Tuitama Vainuku
Salamasina, who is the eldest grand daughter of the founder of TPOP, began her dancing career at the age of 5. Since her beginning, she has performed for many audiences in California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona and for tourists while on their cruise line vacation to the Isles of Polynesia. Salamasina is one of our Top Competition and Performance Instructors. Salamasina has performed and worked with groups such as Hot Lava Productions in Las Vegas, Nevada, Te Vaka Nui in Las Vegas, Nevada, Cirque de Polynesia from Las Vegas, Nevada and Malialole in S.L.C. , Utah, and performing at Treasure Island with Island Heat and many more throughout the U.S.A. Salamasina enjoys her time on the stage and in the classroom. She, also being part Latina, enjoys Latin dancing. Salamasina is also our Competition Trainer for our students who compete in Tahitian Solo Impromptu Dance. Some of Sala's style of teaching include modern style Tahitian, as well as traditional. Salamasina has recently earned the title of Miss Heiva i San Diego 2014, Miss American Samoa World 2015 and runs her own pageant the Miss Culture International Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ta'atiafogaega Cheyenne Salcido Fesagaiga Moe Tuitama Vainuku
Ta'atiafogaega, the second eldest grand-daughter of the Founder of TPOP ( commonly known as Tia) began her career as a dancer at the age of 5, and her career as an instructor at the age of 14. Tia, as many of her family members and colleagues, has won many awards for her mastering skills in Polynesian Dance. Tia currently is also our Youth/Teen/Adult Beginners and Intermediate Instructor as well as a Competition Trainer, and Advance/Performance class instructor. Tia travels throughout the Continental United States teaching, and competing. Tia currently dances with groups such as Hot Lava Productions in Las Vegas, Nevada, Te Vaka Nui in Las Vegas, Nevada and Tina's Ports of Paradise in California.
